As much as I enjoy diversity in my travels and experiencing new things wherever I go, I can't think of a view I would prefer waking up to. The mountains just won't let me of the hook with their uniquely but still familiar shapes and magnifying rawness. 🌞 w/ @marvin_walter
We’ve all got dreams that still lie dormant. Goals and ideas that have yet to be brought to life. It’s funny how those are usually the things from which we face some of the most resistance. The very things we can feel “called” to do. And while we’ve often been encouraged to “eat the frog” or tackle the biggest hurdles first, sometimes all it takes is the littlest step to begin. Write out the chapter titles for the book, name the song, open the bank account, send the email, call him / her, show up. Sometimes starting means doing the easy stuff first. And then doing more easy stuff, and repeating until there’s momentum. Recognizing that just like building a muscle, it starts to get easier to do the hard stuff with a little bit of training and a disciplined start.
Spanning over the entire surface of this outlet glacier, a thick layer of volcanic ash engulfs all signs of the ice beneath. In what seems an entirely desolate and lifeless area, vibrant patches of moss have fought the elements, emerging from the ash.
