El press francés es excelente para obtener volumen en los brazos, ya que trabaja de manera aislada y completa el tríceps, solicitando simultáneamente las tres porciones del músculo: vasto interno, vasto externo y porción larga. Para trabajar de manera preferencial el vasto externo e interno del tríceps la barra debe bajar hasta la altura de la frente, mientras que si queremos trabajar principalmente laporción larga del músculo debemos bajar la barra por detrás de la cabeza.
