Our main man Mick dreamed of a job in carpentry ever since…. well, right after he left school and needed a job doing something/anything. Turns out he’s actually pretty bloody good at it. Fast forward some years and the business wins keep rollin better than Limp Bizkit.
As founder of Animal Carpentry, Mick believes great work ethic is the back bone of business. He’s spent his past 34 trips around the sun immersed in all things building and braun; strengthening his bond with the concrete floors and fluro-lit walls of his local gym with daily 4:30am wake-up’s. Luckily this has given him a high tolerance to the effects of sleep deprivation, an accepted hazard for any management marvel. .
IMPORTANT FACT: Dance.skillz.for.dayzzz.... after a frothy or five. .
Director | Accounts Manager
Long ago and far away, in a potato-packed-country-town was a guy named Dylan. One day his inner chippy burst, Alien-style from his body, took over the controls and marched him to the cosy lil nook under his big bro’s wing where he learnt the trade one high five at a time.
Dyl is our professional pensive who seeks out the efficiencies in everything.
He’s a double index finger typing prodigy who loves discussing meticulous money management as much as he likes pontificating about his mad-golf skills. FYI, you’re drivin’ it wrong. .
IMPORTANT FACT: Dyl loves audio books. Audio books love Dyl. .
Director | General Manager .
Mike’s journey to Animal Carpentry involved layovers in labouring (thanks dad) drafting, architecture (thanks RMIT) and a brief flirtation with spandex as an amateur cyclist... until he realised tools were a better fit than tights and spent the next 6yrs trading up (pun intended!)
An expert relationship builder and organizer of things. Mike is a social architect, he’s always expanding his network of “friends who can do that” by way of his natural smell-good musk and reputation as a charismatic can-do-commando.
IMPORTANT FACT: Some people whistle while they work; if you walk by this guy on site, expect to hear him belting out an epic 90’s ballad with the passion of Prince and the soul of Celine.
