1. NOT KNOWING YOUR MACROS
You may or may not be the type of person that wants to track every ounce of food that goes in their mouth, but it is a good idea to at least know in your head the approximate number of calories, fat & protein you should be consuming on top of your approx 20 net carbs. 2. NOT GETTING ENOUGH FIBER
A ketogenic diet can stop you up if you're not careful. Non-starchy vegetables belong in a healthy low-carb diet so be sure you're getting plenty everyday. Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, bell peppers and fruits like avocado or berries are very high in micronutrients, low in carbs and provide needed fiber. Chia seeds are also high in fiber and can be added to smoothies, salads and even made into chia seed pudding.
3. NOT WATCHING YOUR ELECTROLYTES!
Your electrolytes are composed of sodium, potassium & magnesium.
A ketogenic diet can deplete these essential minerals if your not careful.

4. EATING TOO MANY "Keto Treats" vs REAL FOOD.
Have you seen people use the word "JERF" It stands for Just Eat Real Food.
The purpose of a Ketogenic diet is to heal your body and things wrapped in packages are often delicious but some of them are still filled with lots of fillers and things that don't really benefit your body long-term. Just keep that in mind. I definitely buy my fair share of Keto packaged items but I definitely limit them. I buy more things from the perimeter of the grocery store than I ever did when I was eating a standard American diet.
5. You're not all IN
