Hi foodie friends! 👋🏻 It’s been a while.
I know I haven’t been posting as often, and I’m sorry for that. I haven’t been able to go out on many food adventures lately and I haven’t been able to keep up with what everyone else has been up to for the last two months. Recently I shared that I got a new job and will be working constantly since then, and I have been; I never really shared what that job was. Well, I’m happy to share with you guys that the new job I got was actually a teaching position with a great school district in Houston, and it’s been one of the most exhausting and exhilarating experiences I’ve ever had in my life. Besides my love of food, I’m very passionate about history, and I wanted to share my love of it with the future generation. I know that history is one of those subjects many kids grumble about because they find it boring, but to me, it’s always been fascinating, and I want to pass that love down to others. With my enthusiasm and love for the subject, I know that I can pass that same genuine love for history to other kids for years to come. In taking this position, I’ve taken a step back from the foodie life, and had to reprioritize things in my life. This doesn’t mean that I’ve given up on this account or lifestyle, but I’m taking a step back from it and will be updating it as much as I can, whenever I get the chance to. My days are now filled with sharing my love of history with others, and the nights are filled with lesson plans, rereading on certain parts of history I may have forgotten about, and other miscellaneous things that comes with being a teacher. I am so unbelievably happy with this new position, and if there’s anything you should take from this, know that I will never give up on my dreams or the friends that I’ve met along the way, and I will always continue to pursue the things that makes me happy. So, thanks for reading my rant, and here’s a throwback picture of me and the coconut from the Renaissance Festival last year.
I mean, I go there so often, you guys should have just realized how much I loved history, right? Go follow your dreams, guys. When it finally happens, you’ll be so amazed. ✨ #MondayMotivation
