I have to admit, I was basic with my avocado, putting it on toast, making guacamole, but I've discovered the best way to serve it! This avocado dip was a complete fluke and I must say, this was a happy accident! I served it with potatoes, broccoli, and some good ole' black beans.

**WARNING: LONG POST NATAL FITNESS UPDATE AHEAD** ...Hey Fit fam! So I thought I’d share an update with you... I stepped on the scale at 10 days post partum (I am just over 2 weeks post partum today & have not re-checked weight since) and I was only 5lbs away from my pre pregnancy weight... although I’m definitely still VERY soft in the belly & hip area. I only gained somewhere between 22-25lbs over the course of my pregnancy. I attribute this to LIFTING WEIGHTS, eating healthfully and not going overboard with calories (although I definitely ate more treats😊), and staying active overall. This all said- I’m not in a rush to get back into “shape”... but I am excited to start exercising again. Because I feel my best when I do. That said, at 2 weeks post partum today, I am focused on enjoying my baby girl & figuring this Mom thing out (which probably never ends lol). And as for my health & wellness, I am trying to eat healthy/get back to normalized eating because that’s what makes me FEEL GOOD (the first week I ate takeout EVERY night for dinner and practically no veggies... by the end of the week I felt gross and CRAVED veggies), and focusing on incorporating some breath work and moving about the house.... & hopefully walks outside with her once this snow stops!!!! Last night I did partial walking lunges to try to get her to fall asleep (bc she likes to go up & down) and OMG my butt & legs were tired! Haha. Also, I have to say WOW, our pre natal body mechanics exercises hit the nail on the head!!!!!! Bc I can’t TELL you the number of times I’ve already caught myself in horrific posture and rounded back caring for her. I remind myself to bend from the hips and use my glutes and I can feel them fire right up! I remind myself to pack my shoulder blades when I feed & burp her so I don’t develop a rounded upper back. I have to remind myself to stand tall when my milk-filled boobs are causing me to slouch. I am mindful, BUT I have to work at this. And I will. But these are all things that I wouldn’t realize unless I had appropriate pre & post natal training. Man am I thankful!!!! If you’re going through our program and... CONTINUED IN COMMENTS👇🏼
“You’ve got to be possessed by the dream.” After being sidelined last year in the open I have been so hungry for the opportunity to compete in the CrossFit Open and 18.4 was a dream come true workout for me. It married one of my biggest strengths with two movements I’ve made incredible progress and I couldn’t be happier that this was the workout we pulled for week 4! Did a little chipper workout this evening and then I did a little practicing on my cleans. Got up to 65kg. Not a PR but I wasn’t going for that. I just needed to get work done. Less talk and more work.
