"Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley"- Theodre Roosevelt
Towards the evening we reached Base Camp post which we setup our tents and put in our backpacks. As i stepped outside the tent, i saw a bunch of trekkers walkin down the mountain what I assumed was an acclimitazation climb. You can see the people right in the centre of the image as tiny specs of dots comin down the mountain along the faint path on the mountain.
On seeing this it occured to me we as human beings are so much about ourselves in our day to day life. We see faults in each other, judge, criticise and full of ego at times. Why we feel the need to be self centered? When Universe constantly reminds us to look at the bigger picture.
This picture was taken en route to Nerak. Two hours into the trek, we realized that the floor below us is melting fast. Returning locals and trekkers warned us to not go any further as the solid ice sheet was now a steady flowing river. After factoring in all the possibilities, we decided to return, as it was too risky to traverse back if we had crossed.
