Crostoli: it is difficult to resist this typical Carnival sweet.
Many Friulian families jealously preserve their own recipe. The only things all these private recipes have in common are the basic fundamental ingredients: pastry flour, eggs, sugar, butter, white wine, grappa, orange and lemon zest and rhum. One secret is to roll out the pastry very thin, so Crostoli won't absorb oil while frying. Let's try!
