The supplements that I take don’t require you to exercise or diet. They require you to eat your 3 meals, drink water, and to be patient with your body. . . I receive COUNTLESS messages that say, “why haven’t I lost weight? I must be doing something right, bc the devil will not leave me alone. Sunday morning I fell and sprained my ankle along with fracturing it on either side. I’m in an air cast and will follow up with ortho in 2 weeks. Right when it happened the first thing I said was “How am I going to work out?!” Well actually that’s the second thing I said, the first thing I said was “ITS BROKEN!” Tbh 2 years ago I probably would’ve been elated to hurt myself giving me the perfect excuse not to exercise, but now, I was so mad. I instantly starting thinking of ways I could still work out. Abs, arms, back, shoulders, chest. But I love cardio. Ok I don’t love cardio but it’s my favorite way to work out bc I feel like I’m getting the most work done that way. I’m doing the biggest loser competition at work and of course I want to win. But not only do I want to win that I want to be getting healthier, so yeah I am super upset that I can’t work out the way I want to. But let me tell you something, I am not giving up that easy. I refuse to sit in the corner and cry bc I’m hurt. (I mean I did cry bc I’m hurt but I’m not doing it in a corner) I refuse to let my hard work go down the drain bc I hurt my ankle. So I googled cardio workouts for when you are injured, and boy are there hundreds. I just did a 30 min cardio workout in a chair, sweating, huffing and puffing, and burned 236 calories. So Satan can keep throwing whatever else he wants at me, bc I will not back down, I will not be defeated, I will never give up. He thinks he can drown me? Well this mermaid can breath under water. I guess my 2018 mantra really is no excuses, I’m sick of makin em. I’ve used enough excuses in the past to last a lifetime. Here’s to doing it anyway. Meal prep is one of those things people love to share, take fancy photos of, and do for the whole week. But sometimes it's not that glorious looking. I prefer to cook daily because eating the same thing daily sucks. Don't get me wrong, meal prepping is a great tool to keep track of macros and calories. It ensures you hit your specific goals with out thinking much. I work nights and mostly 12 hour shifts so my meals for the night consists of: Curried seitan,fried mushrooms, fries, fake chicken, Buffalo nuggets, and ketchup because it makes everything better. Around 100g protein, 150g carbs, and 32f.

Thought I would give #cauliflowerrice a try. And guess what? I LOVE IT! It is so good and I can't even tell it's not actually rice! 1/2 cup of cauliflower rice is only 20 calories. 1/2 cup of rice is about 200 calories. It's a good trade off in my books.
