Yesterday we left Jasper and made our way back to Banff. Along the way we stopped in at the Athabasca Falls, which was really quite stunning and only a couple minutes walk out of the car. Next we made it to the Icefields Parkway where we spent a fair bit of time. I had hoped to find an Ice Cave I had seen photos of, but unfortunately we couldn't find it. It's possible it's in an area that is closed to the public and only open to guided groups, due to the risk of hidden crevasses. Despite not finding the cave, the glacier and the rest of the icefields were amazing. Along the way back to Banff I pulled over on the side of the highway and took a photograph of the fencing they have, which runs along the sides of the highway and funnels the wildlife to various overpass crossings. I thought this was a brilliant idea to look after the animals in the national park and people driving cars, although I don't know if it would work back home. One other important note about the drive from Jasper to Banff is you need to make sure you're pretty self sufficient. There is no cell reception for the majority of the way and I mean none, not even little bits here and there, so make sure you have plenty of fuel and your car is good to go. When we finally made it back to Banff, Mya and I met some really nice people who have been following and supporting us. We had dinner with some friends and then checked out the view of Banff from Mt Norquay, which really is stunning. Today we will be making our way to Calgary. For any one in Calgary we will have a meet and greet at the Regency Hyatt at 530pm. If you know anyone who would like to meet Mya please let them know or if have any must sees, please tell us about them, unfortunately we are only there for one night. #NoPawGetsLeftBehind

I wish I could just send this balsamic baked chicken through the screen to you, because holy moly it was delicious. Swipe —> to see a close up of this goodness 😍 _ This was my first time breaking out the cast iron pan we were gifted for our wedding and it is possibly me new fave. _ Recipe: -Season 2 chicken breasts (or however many you’re making!) with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. -heat pan on medium high, add 2 tbsp oil -sear chicken 1-2 min on each side, cover pan with foil, then put the whole pan into oven at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes -in sauce pan, add 1 cup balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup sugar. Allow to boil, then simmer until chicken is ready -take chicken out of oven, brush balsamic glaze on top, place back in oven uncovered for 10 more min or until chicken is cooked through -take chicken out of oven again, pour remainder of glaze over 😋😋😋 ____ #teachertalk #teamlivefit #texasgirl #happyhealthylife #treatyoself #strongereveryday #notthestorm #sweatingforthehoneymoon #catlady #catladylife #chooseyourtude #texasteachers #starbs #starbucksfix #weightlossstory #optoutside #justmarried #workinonmyfitness #progressoverperfection #teacherthings #catladyproblems #hpforever #potterhead

It was a beautiful course today. Hilly, mostly single track, and more technical than I'm used to. I had good company too. #foolstrainingrun #optoutside #trailrunning #25ktraining
