Thank you to all our wonderful friends, family and bus community! We love you all. We couldn't have done so much without all the love and support during our bus build!! 😍😘😘😘😘 A reintroduction:
We are Matthew and Brigitta. Married 3 years, from North Queensland and now Tasmania Australia. Almost two years ago we made the decision to simplify, and focus on what truly matters; Our love for each other, our love of God Jehovah, nature, music and our volunteer work. We decided everything else was holding us back from living the life we wanted. Quit full time work, focused on the volunteering and we got rid of almost everything. One year ago we packed a ute and trailer and moved 3000k's south and bought a bus!
We love our decision, even on the difficult days when we question everything, we know it will be worth it, for us, our health, our sanity and our happiness. *
Love you guys, Matthew and Brigitta xx
Feel free to ask any questions about us or our build. We'd love to chat!
Day 5/6: #downtherabbitholeskoolie#⬇️🐰💫🚌 Today we found out Jesus tested our [working!] heater and discovered a pencil cap eraser (the only sign of the bus’s previous life we’ve seen so far). My brother @m.henry91 came to the barn at the wrong time and got put to work helping us figure out coolant/AC lines and quite possibly just made this conversion much faster and easier. Thanks, Matt! Rooster took out all of the screws for the upper panels. We ripped up the remaining floor screw stragglers and sold 6 bus seats that were picked up today. Oh, and we took out all the windows to clean, possibly take to be tinted deeper, and reseal. Did I mention I am sore yet? 🤪
⚠️ The Aftermath ⚠️
After being stuck in the frozen mud for the past week, Margo is back to her usual spot. So happy to be out of that sunken pit and back to the high ground
My dad mentioned to me this morning when he saw how frustrated I was getting that Buddhists often have a saying....”No Mud, No Lotus” meaning when we know how to suffer, we suffer much less. Of course my response was “Ive had plenty of mud, I am ready for the lotus.” 🤦🏼♂️ #nomudnolotus#skoolieconversion
