Hey guys! So this past week I had the privilege to worship drum in front of over 1,000 children and adults at a children’s ministry camp. I wasn’t supposed to drum, but the scheduled drummer had to leave early that weekend so I had to cover the rest of the weekend. Excited for the opportunity and putting faith in God to lead me as I drum with a band I have never met and some songs I’ve never played, I said yes. Not long after, I felt some super intense attack so I dug into the Word and prayed frequently about this to combat this attack. I remember as a child when I would go to camps like this it would change my life drastically and is a huge part of my testimony, so I was praying that He would help me lead by the Spirit and not by fear (the flesh). I take worship leading seriously and always want to lead by the Spirt. I remember praying over and over again for Him to drum through me and for it to be how He wants it to be so I lead from the Spirt fully and not from my flesh. I remember repeating Father please be with me over and over again and once I got done writing in my prayer journal and praying out loud, I put my bookmark in the book and on the bookmark it said, “God will be with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9”. It was the coolest thing because God was hearing my prayers and He provided peace and faith. He helped me defeat the attack and I got to grow in my talents by playing almost fully unprepared and learning that I can do more than I think by the power of the Holy Spirit. It was such a blessing to be able to drum there and to have the little girls come up to me after and talk to me because they looked up to me. I pray that these children will be such strong warriors on fire for the Lord forever and that they will be revivalists lead by the Spirit. Please join me in prayer for these precious little angels. How are you guys? Any worship leaders out there?
