This picture may seem a bit, "gloomy", but that's pretty much how my friend and I felt almost the entire trip while we were here. The sun was never out until the very end of our trip, our Airbnb host was something else (just LOL), we thought we were going to die in the taxi because we didn't know if the taxi driver was taking us to where we needed to go when we left the airport to head to our Airbnb, and we couldn't communicate with him...so he ends up charging us double the amount, taking advantage of us since we didn't speak French to defend ourselves and communicate the prices/since were foreigners in his country (Así es la vida). To top all of this, our flight to Amsterdam got canceled, so we had to sleep at the Brussels airport for a night. 2 weeks later, a terrorist attack occurs at the Brussels airport. Despite how crazy things were while I was there, I'm reminded of the Lord's constant protection over my life when I reflect back upon this trip. I remember I had a Bible verse in mind before I left for my semester abroad, and its crazy to look back and see how that verse came to life and how His faithfulness was being shown. All I had to do was have faith in Him and in His powerful and infallible Word. Thank You Lord.
