I have read this thing before posting it. It's PG12. Or at least I think it is.
So last night I watched the Darkest Hour. Pretty cool film, I'd recommend it if you're into British political history during WW2. Or just Churchill.
If you're into that section of history, I suggest you watch these in the following order. King's Speech, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk. It's all chronological and compliments each other very well.
And I had a thought last night (shower thought!). I was never really taught American History, like at all. The only piece we did was the American Revolution. But what annoyes me most was the complete lack of Asian History in the entire syllabus. Nothing about Silk trades, Mongols invading Europe, Alexander the Great going East, the numerous dynasties of China, Opium war 1 & 2. Japan's isolation and opening. The only piece we did was the Korean war, and that was from a Western perspective. So my knowledge of Asian history I've learnt was through my family, self learning, and some Youtube stuff. It's really nothing much but patches of history that I've accumulated, and mostly from the Western perspective.
QOTD: Which period would you say is your favourite part of history?
AOTD: When people started sailing across the Atlantic (age of exploration), the Industrial Revolution till WW2 and 3 kingdoms in China. They fascinate me.
That's all for today, and enjoy the extra panel of comic! (It was part of it.)
See ya Monday!
Think I'll post Zaimokuza next Friday.
So now that I'm back in college, weekly lab reports have become a thing yet gain.....yay.
Also, I think I'm watching The Darkest Hour tonight, so I'm looking forward to that! Other than that, I don't have much news. Just listening to more pre 2012 pop, when it was still decent and not noise. (All time low-Timebomb for those that wants to know). I hate modern music. Just last hear, I was looking forward to Maroon 5's new Album, but it was quite disppointing. (It's not even 5 members at this stage.) And since then, I've decided not to venture into pop music generally beyond 2012. I felt those electronic-y style nowdys completely ruins music. It feels like it's only to be played at night time in a club or something. (Ones sung in English at least.) Is it just me that thinks so? Probably..... And I'm not going back into Kpop. I was a fan, but it never stood out for me.
I guess that concludes my slight rant that I just thought of on the spot!
See ya tomorrow with the comic :)
QOTD: Can you bake?
AOTD: Yes, but not outstanding. I've made chocolate brownies before, and they were nice, but by no means clothes ripping, imaginary angel fondling delicious. It's fun to bake imo. Just never expect much if you're gonna do it first time.
Credit to the artist, think the name is in the bottom right corner.
So over my Christmas holidays, I finished 2 books! (Quite pleased with myself). The Pianist, and 13 at dinner (or Lord Edgware dies). The former was an incredible book. I'm fully aware of the movie. I have yet to watch it, but if you ever get the chance to grab a copy of it, do! You will definitely have several views of humanity after reading it.
That's all for the day/morning. Take care, and hopefully, I might have prepped myself more with better writing material.
A nice collage of screenshots from season 2. And I didn't do anything, just found it like so! 😂 Less work for me!
Almost missed the train this morning. Left the house around 7:50 to catch the 8am train. Just caught it with exactly 2 minutes to spare. But it was very stressful.
Also, to make most people jealous, I'm finished at 11am today. Only 2 lectures! Gahahahahahahahaha, it's in the bag! (You'll score a lot of admin points if you get the reference.)
So yeah, early start, early finish! Gonna go for a nap later while the rest of the world, or at least my followers who seems to be either in highschool, or college mostly, with a few exceptions for some.
I'm done waffling, I'd write actual content but I'm quite tired right now.
So see ya!
